Ocado lists new Yoghurt Berry bars from Northern Irish supplier

Artisan granola specialist Just Live a Little has begun supplying top online retailer Ocado with innovative fruit snack bars.

Based at Portaferry in county Down, Northern Ireland, Just Live a Little has won a listing from Ocado for its new 45g YoghurtBerry flapjack bars in two delicious flavours - cranberry and sunflower seeds and sultana, date and apricots both with a creamy yoghurt topping.

The company, founded and run by husband and wife team David and Jill Crawford, describes each of the new products as "a breakfast bowl in a bar". The products are also available in multi pack format containing three bars.

Jill Crawford, commenting on the new products, says: "The yoghurt fruit berry bars are the latest from us and are based on our expertise in luxury handmade granolas which are now readily available in leading retailers in the UK and Ireland as well as in Asia and the United Arab Emirates.

"It made good business sense for us to use this knowledge and experience to create an innovative product for those seeking 'breakfast on the go' or a healthy snack to be enjoyed at any time.

"The response has been really encouraging since the recent launch on the Ocado site. Reviews from those who have tried the bars have been very positive," she adds.

Just Live a Little has also introduced 50g portion cereal pots in flavours cranberry and cashew, whole almond and strawberry which have been listed by Waitrose and Tesco.

The couple formed Crawford Foods in 2011 in their farmhouse kitchen to develop the homemade granolas that were subsequently rebranded as Just Live a Little the following year. The granolas are mixed by hand and slow baked and are available in cranberry, cashew and coconut as well as fig and hazelnut and toasted muesli.
