Grace's Irish shortbread biscuits get a chocolate coating

Grace's, the Northern Ireland specialist in traditional Irish
biscuits and other artisan foods, has launched new All-Butter Irish Shortbread biscuits.

The new All-Butter Shortbread biscuits are covered in 100 per cent
milk chocolate and available in 170g packs (RRP ?1.99).

Based at Bangor in county Down, Grace's has an extensive portfolio
of Irish shortbread and oatmeal biscuits, fudge, breakfast tea and
drinking chocolate which are sold through the UK, Germany, Spain,
the US and Japan. High profile European customers include Spain's
El Corte Ingles in Barcelona.

The company supplies major retail chains in Britain and Ireland as
well as a network of delis. It has won UK Great Taste Awards for its range of traditional Irish biscuits.

William Bullock, the founder and managing director of Grace's Irish Biscuits, says: "The new product has been developed in response to
market demand for a new Irish shortbread biscuit featuring good
quality chocolate. It brings traditional Irish shortbread to a new market.

"We've continued to use premium butter from Northern Ireland's
Ballyrashane Creamery in Coleraine in making the shortbread and have now covered this in good quality chocolate.

"We work closely with retailers and are always keen to respond to
new product suggestions. The new shortbread was also influenced by
our successful launch in 2013 of drinking chocolate in a distinctive tin packaging format.

He founded the business in 2004 after a successful career in
international sales and is best known for the launch of
shamrock-shaped shortbread and oatmeal biscuits.
