Northern Irish industry leader backs World Dairy Summit

Devenish Nutrition in Northern Ireland, a global agri-food business, is the principal sponsor of the World Dairy Summit in Belfast from 29th October to 3 November.

The influential summit, organised by the International Dairy Industry (IDF), is among the most important agri-food events to be held in Northern Ireland.

The event brings the global dairy community to look at how the industry, which is Northern Ireland's second biggest agri-food sector after meat, can make a difference to nutrition standards worldwide.

Throughout the summit, hundreds of international delegates will examine the impact a vibrant, efficient and sustainable dairy industry, with nutrient rich and innovative dairy products, can have on the health of current and future generations, animal health and welfare, dairy science and technology, the environment and much more.

The summit will feature several high profile conferences, including the first IDF World Political Leaders Forum followed by an IDF World Dairy Leaders' Forum and eight conferences focusing on marketing; nutrition and health; dairy policy and economics; dairy science and technology; food safety; farm management; animal health and welfare; and the environment.

The event will conclude with a series of technical tours showcasing the UK industry's state-of-the-art infrastructures.
