Northern Ireland ham specialist ready for Christmas

Givan's, one of Northern Ireland's leading producers of traditionally cooked and roasted hams and pork, has launched a new and convenient added-value product for the Christmas season.

The company, based in Belfast, has developed Traditional Turkey and Ham with Homemade Stuffing for retail. The convenience pack contains two 180g portions of turkey and ham with stuffing.

David Givan, managing director of the family business, says: "The new convenience meal pack for Christmas, as well as other times of the year of course, consists of two portions our traditional cooked ham in a quality turkey crown that's steam cooked for a rich flavour.

"The product offers a solution for those seeking to enjoy a traditional Christmas dinner without a full-scale turkey and the inevitable waste. Consumer tests have found it to be an outstandingly tasty product that's very convenient and easy to cook-

"We've also used our longstanding experience to create a new recipe for the traditional stuffing that complements our knowledge of curing and processing ham from our local farm suppliers,"
he adds.

Givan's employs seven people in Belfast and has been producing naturally cooked ham and pork since 1938. Now in its fourth generation, the family owned and managed business is committed to providing a total quality service to meet the specific needs and requirements of customers.
