Hello Mister Big Shot!

One of the Northern Ireland food and drink industry's best known faces is back in business with a brand new company and a refreshing new drink that he claims will inject life into the local and international energy drink markets.

Kevin Carson is widely known in the Northern Ireland grocery and licensed trades as the man responsible for selling the first case of Red Bull in the province and was instrumental in the growth of the brand locally over a period of 15 years.

Now, as a director with new Northern Ireland company Big Shot NI Ltd, Carson is planning to shake up the market again with a healthy refreshing new energy drink called Little Big Shot.

Carbonated and canned with natural spring water, Little Big Shot relies on natural berry fruits and ingredients to give the body a slow and sustained energy boost without the aid of stimulants such as caffeine and taurine, preservatives or e-numbers.

The brainchild of Big Shot NI managing director and Scottish entrepreneur Bert Jukes, the drink was developed over a period of four years in consultation with food scientist andGlasgow University Professor Donald Muir and is a blend of berry fruit juices including raspberries, blackcurrants, cranberries and pomegranates, combined with ginseng, hibiscus and B vitamins.

After endless hours of research, development and testing to perfect the product, the Big Shot NI team, headed by Jukes and Carson, are now confident that Little Big Shot will put Northern Ireland on the global energy drink map.

"Little Big Shot is a recipe for maximum performance without the worry of any side effects that tend to be associated with large, carbonated energy drinks," said Bert Jukes. "For people wanting an energy drink without the post consumption guilt that arises from consuming unknown chemicals, then Little Big Shot is the drink for you. It's healthy, refreshing and suitable for absolutely everyone from athletes and sports enthusiasts to pregnant women and young children. It also tastes great.

"This has been a labour of love, some would even say an obsession, of mine for many years and it's a dream come true to now be in a position to finally launch the finished product here in Northern Ireland," he added.

"I've been in this industry for a long time but I've never been as excited about a new product as I am about Little Big Shot," said Kevin. "As a drink it's almost too good to be true in so far that it tastes deliciously refreshing but is also full of natural ingredients that combine to combat tiredness or fatigue and encourage the release of energy. What's more, it's caffeine free, taurine free and has no preservatives, artificial colourings or flavourings.

"Our taste tests to date with consumers have been overwhelmingly positive and the initial reaction from the local trade has been fantastic.

"We're proud to develop this product in Northern Ireland and we are confident that Little Big Shot will become a flagship brand and the first of many innovative new products from Big Shot NI," he added.
