At Hinch, (taken from Ballynahinch, meaning ‘town of the island’ in Gaelic) and set amongst County Down’s rolling green drumlin hills, we have created a distillery that has aspirations well beyond ‘the ordinary’, ambitions to be creative well beyond ‘the easily achieved’.

We are located on the beautiful grounds of Killaney Estate in County Down. Our 30,000 sq ft distillery, produces the award-winning Hinch Irish Whiskey and Ninth Wave Irish Gin.

Our priority is making spirits to be proud of, so we invest ourselves in making the finest flavours from the finest ingredients and we have invested in an enormous, custom-made distillery that is styled and finished with practical polish that will see us through to the next century. We are doubling our production capacity and have the intention, mindset and resources to put our best bottle forward into a world that’s eager to taste its best.

We’ve shaped a line up with the power to take people from the simple act of sipping a liquid, to summoning a feeling, a rush, a sensation that endures. In this way, Hinch distills not just whiskey and gin, it marks layers in time - it makes spirits that take you from what was, right through to the best of what’s now.

A premium range of Irish whiskeys, aged Blends, Single Pot Still, Single Malts and craft beer cask finished whiskeys combined with their own Ninth Wave Irish Gin.

Hinch’s 5-Year-Old Double Wood awarded title of 'World's Best Blended Irish Whiskey,' & Hinch’s innovative collaboration with Whitewater Brewery, Craft & Casks Imperial Stout Finish, was honoured with the 'World's Best Blended Irish Whiskey Limited Release' award.
  • The Fifty Best Awards 23: Gold for Hinch Distillery's 5 Year Old Double Wood Whiskey.
  • World Gin Awards 2024: Bronze for Ninth Wave Irish Gin in the London Dry Gin category.
