Northern Irish coconut oil producer hoping for healthy sales

CocoMojo, the Northern Irish lifestyle drink producer, has launched a new coconut oil product. The company's CocoOil is organic, cold
pressed, virgin coconut oil.

Based at Lisburn in county Antrim, CocoMojo is producing CocoOil in 300g and 500g jars. They join its successful portfolio of coconut-
based drinks including CocoPassion - coconut with passion fruit -
and CocoSoul - coconut with herbs, fruits and spices, and CocoPure -a coconut water drink.

CocoOil, according to CocoMojo founder and managing director Tricia McNeilly, has a wide range of applications especially baking and as a spread for sandwiches. "It's an immensely versatile product that
can be used as a substitute for butter in baking or for frying," shesays.

"What we've done is to take our experience in convenience beverages using blends of coconut water, coconut milk, tropical fruits,
aromatic spices and botanical herbs to create the new oil.

"The new CocoOil is the outcome of extensive market research into
the developing coconut sector and emerging market opportunities.
The health benefits from coconut are now well-recognised.

"CocoOil is free from gluten, cholesterol, lactose, salt and sugar and may have benefits such as increasing energy, reducing the risk ofheart disease and promoting weight loss."

The company already distributes its coconut-based drinks through
wholesale and retail agreements in Britain and the Republic of Ireland.

"CocoMojo is the result of my work on the nutritional benefits of
natural ingredients over many years, combined with extensive market research and consumer trials," she adds.

CocoMojo also exports its coconut drinks to retailers in Scandinavia and has won a series of awards for innovation.
