&pound10m investment at Moy Park Ashbourne, creating over 100 new jobs

Moy Park has announced a major &pound10 million investment for the Ashbourne area in Derbyshire, covering both its Ashbourne hatchery and processing facility with the creation of 100 new jobs. The investment at Moy Park's Ashbourne processing facility will enable the company to increase processing capacity to over 1 million birds per week with the installation of a new cutting line, processing equipment and refrigeration chilling technology. In parallel Moy Park has announced a major investment programme at its Ashbourne hatchery. The investment will increase the hatchery'scapacity to 1.2 million chicks per week, enabling Moy Park to meet growing demand from its customers for high quality, locally sourced poultry products. The investment programme forms part of Moy Park's wider growth strategy which has seen the company make significant investments in its industry leading farming and operational facilities aimed at delivering best in class quality for its customers.
