Pure Roast Coffee invests to drive growth

Pure Roast Coffee, the award winning coffee producer, has completed a ?350,000 investment which triples the company's output of coffee
for products such as single serve pods, whole beans and ground
coffee.

Based at Lisburn, Pure Roast Coffee has installed a new Loring
convection roaster, which also offers significant energy savings,
along with the latest computerised storage and transfer silos for
green beans.

The investment has enabled Pure Roast to increase its processing andwarehousing.

Pure Roast Coffee managing director Martin Symington says the
investment in roasting and processing technology along with greater warehousing enables the company to meet the increasing demand from
existing and potential customers for its range of products and
particularly its single-serve pods of quality roast coffee.

The company currently sells 95 per cent of its coffee outside
Northern Ireland and includes high profile clients such as Emirates Airline in its portfolio.

"We have developed a solid customer base, most of which are based
outside Northern Ireland and in markets as diverse as Great Britain and the Middle East. Our business in Britain, for instance, has
grown 35 per cent in the past year as a result of our decision to
establish Pure Gusto, a subsidiary based in Bolton.

"In addition to existing business, we've been approached by several major foodservice organisations attracted by our expertise in single-serve pods and our reputation as a customer-focused developer of
quality coffee.

"Winning a series of UK Great Taste Awards for original coffee
products has also reinforced our market profile," he adds.

Mr Symington, who has vast experience in foodservice and coffee
production, set up Pure Roast Coffee in 2009.
