Flavoured wheatgrass for healthier option

Award winning Squeeze Wheatgrass, the Northern Irish producer of
healthy juice drinks, has launched a new range of flavoured productsfor the UK and other markets.

Based at Warrenpoint, county Down, the small business, which won oneof the first Good Choice! Quality Food Awards in the UK, has been
specialising in wheatgrass juice shots since 2011. The fresh juice
is produced in 30ml shots.

The new flavoured wheatgrass shots are:-

Beetroot Juice - which has been gaining in popularity as a new
super food due to recent studies claiming that beets and beetroot
juice can improve athletic performance, lower blood pressure and
increase blood flow. Choline, a important and versatile nutrient inbeetroot, helps with sleep, muscle movement, learning and memory.

Apple and Pear Juice - which contains fructose which metabolises
slower and does not create a spike in blood sugar levels in the way that sucrose does. Apples and pears are a source of phytochemicals
of the flavonoid family quercetin, a powerful antioxidant - many
studies have shown how its anti-inflammatory properties can help
with a variety of health issues.

Orange and Lemon Juice - citrus fruits are the sole source of a
group of flavonoids called flavanones. According to research
published in the August 2008 issue of the "Journal of Agricultural
and Food Chemistry," citrus flavonoids prevent the formation of new cancers by blocking carcinogenic agents, and they lower blood
pressure and prevent disease-causing inflammation.

Jacquelyn Stewart, founder and managing director of Squeeze
Wheatgrass, says: "The new flavoured wheatgrass juices have been
developed for people who wish the benefits of wheatgrass but do
not like the grassy taste of wheatgrass. Each of the new juice
flavours has been carefully selected for the 'extra' health benefitsit will bring to the wheatgrass juice. The new flavoured wheatgrassshots have a six-week shelf life.

Squeeze Wheatgrass has already secured a listing for the new products with online food market place TheFoodMarket.com whose aim is to
have only products available on their marketplace site that are madewith high quality, natural ingredients and can prove where they
come from. Squeeze Wheatgrass grows its own wheatgrass
hydroponically.

The new flavoured Wheatgrass shots are also available to buy online at the company's own website www.squeezewheatgrass.co.uk and will beadded to their existing listing with Yumbles.com, another indie
food online store.
