Northern Irish healthy drinks business wins sales in Denmark

CocoMojo, the Northern Irish producer of healthy coconut and
fruit-based drinks, has won sales in the Nordics with Netto, the
Danish value chain.

The company, which is based at Lisburn in county Antrim, is to
supply Netto with four products - pure coconut water, pineapple and watermelon, passion fruit and coconut milk with tropical fruit.

Netto, part of Denmark's Danske Supermarket Group, has 1,400 stores across Denmark, Sweden, Poland and Germany. In the UK, it has a
business relationship with Sainsburys which plans to increase Netto discount stores in the UK to 25 from the current 15.

Coco Mojo's marketing manager Laura Jackson, commenting on the new
business, says: "This is our first major export deal in the Nordic
region. Up to now, we've been selling in a smaller way through
delis and independent stores in Finland, but this deal marks a majorbreakthrough for us in international markets."

The small company is also in discussions about a listing with a
major UK retailer for its products also including coconut sugar, a
replacement for conventional refined sugar, as well as coconut
flour, a gluten-free alternative for baking, and coconut oil.

Coco Mojo was established in 2014 by local businesswoman Patricia
McNeilly and has won a string of awards for its healthy drinks,
which are processed in Vietnam. The Northern Ireland operation
carries out research and development work, sales and marketing and
packaging design.

Mrs McNeilly has had a lifelong interest and experience in food and nutrition. She became fascinated about the wonderful health-giving
properties of the coconut, so set about developing a different styleof coconut drink, blending coconut water, coconut milk, tropical
fruits, botanical herbs and aromatic spices.
