Dunville Irish Whiskey Fortnum & Mason Spirit of the Month

Dunville's Irish Whiskey, a premium Irish whiskey from the
Echlinville Distillery in Northern Ireland, has been named whiskey
of the Month for May by Fortnum and Mason (F&M), the upmarket
department store in London's Piccadilly.

Echlinville Distillery, which is based at Kircubbin in county Down
and is the first distillery in Northern Ireland licensed by HM
Customs and Excise in 135 years, is supplying Dunville's PX, a 10
year old single malt to F&M for the promotion in May.

Dunville's PX was named 'Best Irish Single Malt Whiskey under 12
Years' in the prestigious World Whiskies Awards in 2015 and the
brand retained the title by winning the award for the second time
in March 2016.

Dunville's Irish Whiskey brands were once among the best-selling
Irish whiskies in the US before Prohibition and until the original
producer, the Royal Irish Distillery in Belfast, closed in 1937.

The historic Irish whiskey brand has been rejuvenated by EchlinvilleDistillery under the leadership of founder and managing director
Shane Braniff as part of his development of an authentic Irish
whiskey distillery.

Echlinville is unique in being the only distillery in Ireland to
grow and malt its own barley.

Mr Braniff, commenting on the choice of Dunville's by F&M, says:
"Being chosen by such an important UK retailer as Fortnum & Mason isa marvellous boost for the distillery in a target market for us.
It's a tremendous endorsement that will be immensely beneficial as
we seek to build sales of our portfolio of Dunville's Irish whiskiesand other spirits in Britain and further afield.

"Dunville's is an exceptional product with a distinctively rich
flavour because we mature the whiskey in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.

"We've already secured business for Dunville's in, Germany, Holland and Switzerland. We are also focusing on developing sales in the
huge US marketplace."
