Exclusive snack pots from Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt

Clandeboye Estate, the Northern Ireland producer of premium yoghurts, is launching a new snack pot product for delis and high-end independent retailers.

The farm-based business, located near Bangor in county Down, has developed Clandeboye Reserve, a new branding to emphasise the exclusive nature of the snack pots for upmarket retailers.

The unique branding also features D&A crest which represents the company's heritage as a development encouraged by Lady Dufferin, Marchioness of Dufferin and Ava, owner of the 2,000 acre Clandeboye Estate.

The 140g snack pots feature the company's multi-award winning Greek style yoghurt layered over flavoured compotes and topped with a luxury granola that's nut-free. The first flavours are Senga Strawberry and Mango. The snack pots are currently on sale in selected delis in Northern Ireland at £1.59.

Bryan Boggs, general manager of Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt, commenting on the new product, says: "Clandeboye Reserve carries forward our extensive experience in the development of snack pots for clients in foodservice. This is important business for us and we are keen to develop it.

"The Reserve is a quite separate development, a convenience product aimed exclusively at retailers, especially delis and independents, a category that's growing throughout the UK and Ireland.

"It's a further example of the product innovation which is at the heart of our business. Our objective is to offer the delis and independents a different yoghurt-based product from the products we now supply supermarket chains across the island of Ireland.

"Clandeboye Reserve is based on our premium Greek-style yoghurt layered with a richly flavoured fruit compote and quality granola
," he adds.

Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt, launched in 2007 by Lady Dufferin, is among the most successful farm diversification projects.

The yoghurt is made from milk produced by the estate's award winning Holstein herd, rated among the best dairy herds in the UK, and their Jersey herd. All the company's yoghurt is made by hand in a small artisan dairy. It is made without milk powder or other thickening agents for a completely natural taste. Clandeboye Estate Greek Style Yoghurt is strained in a traditional way through cheesecloth.

Clandeboye Estate supplies its yoghurt range to leading supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury, Asda and Aldi.
