New Rhubarb and Honey Cider from top Northern Irish processor

Northern Ireland's multi-award winning Long Meadow Cider has launched a new Rhubarb and Honey Cider. The new cider is the latest from the county Armagh apple farm based processor which has won a string of UK Great Taste Awards and Blas na hEireann Irish National Food Awards.

The company also gained a major marketing award in a recent competition organised by the George Best Belfast City Airport which will showcase its products to millions of passengers.

Rhubarb and Honey Cider (4%ABV) is described by Peter McKeever, who founded the business with father Pat on the family apple farm near Loughgall in county Armagh, centre of Northern Ireland's 'Orchard Country", a having "beautiful colour and strong rhubarb, apple and honey flavours".

Long Meadow's 'plant to pour' approach means that its ciders are cold pressed from its own apples in the farm's processing operation. It has developed an extensive portfolio of ciders, sparkling and still apple juice and cider vinegar on the farm and has also won acclaim for a unique oak-cask cider. The cider products are gluten-free.

The ciders are produced in 500ml bottles and sold widely in Northern Ireland, the Republic and parts of Europe. The business was established in 2013 by the McKeever family in a diversification programme.

Long Meadow has also introduced a promotional gift pack which includes a bottle of its medium and blossom burst cider with a branded glass.
