Success for Northern Ireland at The Grocer Gold Awards

Two Northern Ireland food companies have been shortlisted in three categories in The Grocer magazine prestigious Gold Awards, the final of which will be held in London in November. In addition, business leader Denis Lynn, chairman of Finnebrogue Artisan, is listed in the Entrepreneur of the Year category.

The Grocer Gold Awards celebrate and recognise the very best standards in grocery retail, and rewards only the highest levels of service, initiative and commitment in the FMCG sector.

Shortlisted from Northern Ireland are:

Entrepreneur of the Year – Denis Lynn, chairman of Finnebrogue Artisan, Downpatrick, a producer of nitrite-free bacon, ham and sausages and other sausages;

Employer of the Year - Henderson Food Service, Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland leading foodservice distributor;

Branded Supplier of the Year – Mash Direct, Comber, a leading supplier of vegetable products and sides.

They are among hundreds of entries from across the United Kingdom bidding for a top award at the event, a highlight in the UK food industry.

For 16 years, The Grocer Gold Awards have been a symbol of quality and excellence in the FMCG sector. There are 20 categories to choose from, focusing on key business areas such as innovation and customer satisfaction. The awards provide a platform for recognition for all – whether a large multiple supplier or independent operator.

The winners will be chosen by a prestigious panel of independent judges, plus exclusively commissioned research from The Grocer and its partners, decides the award winners.
