Two global awards for Old Bushmills Irish Whiskey
Old Bushmills, Ireland's oldest Irish Whiskey, gained two major awards in the influential World Whiskies Awards 2015.
The company, based at county Antrim in Northern Ireland, securedthe following category awards in the competition:
Bushmills VR 10 years in Best Irish Single Malt 12 years and under;
Bushmills 16 years old in Best Irish Single Malt 13-20 years.
Old Bushmills Distillery traces its roots back to 1608 and regarded as the world's oldest licensed whiskey. The business was established in 1743
The company is now owned by Casa Cuervo of Mexico, the market leader in tequila distilling. Casa Cuervo acquired the company from Diageo earlier in the year.
The awards are the most recent in a series won by the company over many years.
