NEW TASTES FROM NORTHERN IRELAND FOR
New ideas in snack food and drinks from Northern Ireland will be on show at this year's Caffe Culture for the first time on May 20 & 21 at Olympia, London. Featuring in the first time ???Northern Ireland Naturally' exhibition, Stand K15, will be a wide range of quality products from many of the region's leading food and beverage producers. The exhibition stand has been organised by Invest Northern Ireland, the economic development agency. The presentation includes products from a number of companies currently supplying the coffee bar industry in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland and further afield. Among the products being shown are morning goods such as scones, muffins, pancakes and cakes, along with new ideas in coffee, tea, fruit juices and sauces. The line-up includes Northern Ireland industry leaders such as Dale Farm, the region's biggest processor of dairy products, Irwin's Bakery, and Rich Sauces, all of which have significant business supplying cafes throughout the UK and Ireland. Launching innovative fruit smoothies is Jackaboo, a new business which has developed unique puree-based smoothies that are from dairy ingredients, sugar, additives, preservatives and cholesterol. The group also includes several companies which won awards for quality and originality in the recent Great Taste Awards such as loose-leaf tea and infusion specialist Suki Tea, which recently started supplying products to tea houses in Tokyo. The participating companies are broadly representative of Northern Ireland's food and drink processing industries, the UK region's biggest manufacturing sector with a longstanding and successful track record in the supply of products geared to the requirements of customers throughout the British Isles. Northern Ireland products are marketed extensively at exhibitions throughout the UK, Ireland and other parts of Europe. In addition, tea, coffee and dairy products are now exported by Northern Ireland companies to global markets including the US, Asia and the Middle East.
