Major award for Moy Park suppliers in Northern Ireland

Moy Park suppliers in Northern Ireland have been rewarded for their hard work in providing quality poultry to the company.

Nine farmers have been recognised by Aviagen, the international
broiler business, at a special awards ceremony for their high level of production standards for the company which is headquartered in
Craigavon, Northern Ireland.

The Moy Park poultry suppliers have been included by Aviagen in its esteemed 'Ross 400 Club', which acknowledges and rewards broiler
farmers who have achieved a European Efficiency Factor (EPEF) of 400and over with their flock.

In the UK, less than five per cent of poultry flocks have obtained
this level.

"We are thrilled that so many of our farmers are now members of the prestigious 'Ross 400 Club'," says John Harrison, Northern Ireland
broiler manager for Moy Park. The company is Northern Ireland's
biggest private sector business and only ?1 billion business.

He adds that the dedication of Moy Park and its poultry farmers
ensured they delivered the best possible goods to the market.

"Winning this award means our farmers are operating to world-class
standards across every level of poultry production - from animal
health and welfare to operational effectiveness.

"This, coupled with Moy Park's industry-leading farming and
operational facilities, means we are ensuring that consumers are
receiving the highest-quality products."
