A FLAVOUR OF THE THINGS TO COME
Late June sees Northern Ireland's award-winning Tickety-Moo make its much anticipated debut in the UK's major multiples. Sainsburys has been quick to support this young, independently-minded ice cream producer who they believe possesses all the raw ingredients necessary to become a real hit within the UK's highly competitive freezer fixture. Chocolate Honeycomb Crunch, Apple & Blackberry Pie and Double Caramel Fudge Chunk will be the first of tickety-moo's full-bodied flavours to take centre stage in Sainsburys, smartly dressed in their NEW grass-coloured tub attire, which will include the highly respected Forest Stewardship Council logo to show that these attention-grabbing tubs are green in more ways than one. Tickety-moo harks back to a much-missed age when bold flavours and enticing ripples were all the rage, and ice cream companies were led by accessible, larger-than-life personalities. Co-founders Gareth & Steve are very much driven by a desire to lend some much needed support to an increasingly under the kosh Northern Ireland's dairy industry. Besides committing to produce only full-bodied retro flavour formats like Rhubarb & Custard & Panacotta and Raspberry Pavlova, this is a young business that also insists on only using the milk from Jersey herds believing that they alone ???produce the sweetest, creamiest butterfat friendly milk imaginable.' With Superquinn, Harvey Nichols (Dublin) and Center Parcs representing just a small smattering of the high profile ice cream accounts which have already opened their freezer doors to tickety-moo's very distinct super-premium proposition, the future for Fermanagh's best kept foodie treat would indeed seem assured.
