Top award for Moy Park director
Mike Mullan, Moy Park HR director Europe, has been named UK Directorof the Year for Leadership in Corporate Responsibility at the
prestigious Institute of Directors UK awards.
He was awarded IoD Northern Ireland Director of the Year in the samecategory earlier this year and was shortlisted as a finalist at the national UK Awards, which were held in London.
The IoD UK Director of the Year awards celebrate directors at the
forefront of leadership excellence and recognise those who are
leading their field.
Mullan said: "I am very honoured to pick up this UK-wide award for
leadership in corporate responsibility.
"This is really an accolade for every member of the Moy Park team.
Moy Park is a values-led company and is very much committed to
working in a responsible manner with all our varied and valued
stakeholders. It is my great privilege to work with an outstanding
team of people, whom I would like to thank for their dedication to
this important area of work."
Earlier this year Moy Park, Northern Ireland's biggest company, was recognised, for the third year running, in Business in the Community's Corporate Responsibility Index (CR Index), achieving a '3 Star'
rating in the UK's leading and most in-depth voluntary benchmark of corporate responsibility.
In 2013, Moy Park was the first company in the UK poultry industry and the first business from Northern Ireland to be recognised in the CR Index. More recently, the company was also recognised with a
RoSPA Health & Safety Award and the IGD John Sainsbury Learning and Development Award.
