All Ireland Excellence Award for Northern Irish Finnebrogue

Finnebrogue, the Northern Irish pork and venison processor, has been
named winner in the agri-food category in the recent prestigious
all-Ireland Business Achievers' Awards.

The awards are organised annually by Ulster Bank, part of RBS, and
recognise business excellence throughout Ireland.

Finnebrogue, based near Downpatrick in county Down, has become a
major supplier of pork products such as sausages and venison to
major retailers in the UK and Ireland. The business is owned and
run by Denis Lynn and is based on an extensive estate for deer.

Mr Lynn says: "Winning the Ulster Bank award is a marvellous
endorsement of our business and our focus on developing premium
products for customers. We are delighted with this recognition from the bank."

A total of 676 companies entered the awards - the highest number
ever, reflecting an increase of 7.8 per cent on last year's awards. 232 were in the Business Start-up category and the Women Led
Business category, which was only introduced two years ago, made up 151 of the entries.
