Juicy innovation from Northern Irish veg business
Northern Irish vegetable supplier, Gilfresh, has launched an
innovative range of DIY juicing packs. The new juicing packs are
specifically designed to meet the growing, global trend of
extracting and blending raw vegetables and fruit.
The 1kg 'Pure Press' juicing packs are the first of their kind in
Northern Ireland, with estimated sales of 30,000 products in the
first year.
Gilfresh, which is based in county Armagh, has already won business from Asda for the new juicing product, with an introductory RRP of
?1.50.
The company, Northern Ireland's leading supplier of pre-packed
vegetables, already sells 27 different lines to Asda.
There are four lines in the range - 'Rootie Fruitie', 'Up Beet',
'Clean Green' and 'The Classic'. The packs contain a mix of fruit
and vegetables which can be used in a juicer or blender.
Gilfresh's William Gilpin says: "Juicing and blending has taken a
huge surge in recent months with consumers looking for more
convenient ways to stay healthy. We are the first company in
Northern Ireland to launch a combination pack specifically tailored for juicing.
"Each pack has been carefully selected to give consumers the perfect mix for a smoothie or healthy juice. The process is simple: Rinse, Juice, Drink."
Gilfresh is a family run company based in Loughgall in Northern
Ireland and was established over 50 years ago. The company began
supplying supermarkets in the mid-1980s.
