Award winning tastes from Northern Ireland at
Winning tastes from enterprising and innovative companies will be
showcased on the Northern Ireland presentation (Stand C22) at Food
& Bev Live 2016, 16th & 17th February in City West Dublin.
The stand, organised by Invest Northern Ireland, the region's
business development body, will showcase over twenty food and drink producers, all winners from last year's UK Great Taste, Irish
Quality and Blas na hEireann Awards.
Commenting on the presentation, Drew McIvor, Invest NI's Food
Business Development Executive in the Republic of Ireland, said:
"Food & Bev Live 2016 is an important platform for our companies,
especially artisan enterprises and smaller businesses, seeking to
sell their products in the Republic and further afield.
"Food shows in the Republic have proved very successful for our
companies over many years and many have gained their first business outside Northern Ireland at these events.
"Our stand features a comprehensive display of original food and
drink offering innovation and, above, all outstanding taste.
The Republic is also our most important market after Great Britain.
"Our companies, both large and small, are experienced in working
with multiple retailers, independents and foodservice providers in
the Republic, our biggest market. They are adept in the development of products for specific opportunities to the quality and volumes
required.
To respond to market needs, they can react quickly and cost-effectively because of their flexible operations and work to short lead times as well as providing fully traceable supply chains from farm to
fork", he added.
The quality and originality of Northern Ireland food and drink is
currently being highlighted and celebrated during the region's
first-ever 'Year of Food and Drink', a year-long programme of eventsdesigned to promote tourism and boost sales at home and abroad.
