Tasty Christmas gift from Northern Ireland's Burren Balsamics

Burren Balsamics, Northern Ireland's specialist in fruit infused balsamic vinegars, has launched a special Christmas gift pack.

The company, based at Richhill in county Armagh, has created a distinctive Christmas-tree shaped 200ml bottle filled with seasonal cranberry with fresh orange zest and come with a handcrafted dipping dish produced specially for the pack by Baked in Belfast, a county Fermanagh craft pottery business.

Susie Hamilton Stubber, founder and managing director of Burren Balsamics, commenting on the new seasonal pack, says: "The new Christmas balsamic vinegar is delicious with turkey gravy, Cumberland sauce, for chutneys or just for dipping.

"The new product is a response to requests from customers for something deliciously different for the Christmas period. I thought I'd create a distinctive tree-shaped bottle for the season."

The company has won a string of national awards for taste and quality including UK Great Taste Awards and a Blas na hEireann Irish National Award in Dingle, county Kerry, where it struck gold for its unique Armagh Bramley Apple Infused Balsamic Vinegar.

Burren Balsamics was established in February 2014 following a fund raising Christmas fair and has gone on to win business in the UK and Republic of Ireland for its portfolio of balsamic vinegars including raspberry, rhubarb and ginger and strawberry and mint with white wine.

The six-strong range uses only whole fruit with no flavourings or fruit concentrates. All the ingredients are locally sourced and are of the highest quality from carefully selected suppliers.

"All our products are versatile and have been developed and are manufactured by me in county Armagh. They add endless possibilities to enhance the traditional Christmas dinner table as well as salad dishes, stews and casseroles, marinades and soups. They are also delicious to just dip bread into - hence the inclusion of the eye-catching handcrafted pottery dish in the gift pack," she adds.

"Indeed, I believe the fruit vinegars are unique and are ideal for adding delicious flavours to a host of dishes such as poultry, steak, game and salads. They also enhance desserts."

The vinegars use only natural whole fruits for flavour and are available in distinctive 250ml bottles. The products are also available in special gift packs.
