Glenarm Organic Salmon for Seafood Expo in Boston

Glenarm Organic Salmon, the Northern Irish producer of premium Atlantic salmon will be showing its premium organic smoked salmon at Seafood Expo North America in Boston from 19-21 March.

The company, based at Glenarm in county Antrim, is Northern Ireland's only salmon farm and has an international reputation for the quality and flavour of its fresh and smoked salmon.

Glenarm Organic is a longstanding participant in the international show held in the Boston convention and exhibition centre. It currently supplies its salmon to premium retailers as well as high-end restaurants and hotels in many US centres including New York, Boston and San Francisco.

Glenarm Organic also supplies its salmon to premium clients in Asia and the Middle East as well as the UK, where Fortnum and Mason, the leading London retailer, sells its organic smoked salmon.

John Russell, Glenarm Organic's managing director, says: "This will be our seventh year at this important show. We are co-exhibiting with our main customer in the US primarily showcasing our premium smoked salmon."

The organic salmon is kiln smoked slowly over beech wood.

Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America is North America's largest seafood exposition. Thousands of buyers and suppliers from around the world attend the annual, three-day exposition to meet, network and do business.

Attending buyers represent importers, exporters, wholesalers, restaurants, supermarkets, hotels, and other retail and foodservice companies. Exhibiting suppliers offer the newest seafood products, processing and packaging equipment, and services available in the seafood market.

Established in 2008, Glenarm Organic Salmo remains the only Atlantic salmon farmer in the Irish Sea and the sole producer of the world's finest organic salmon.

The company produces up to 600 tonnes of organic salmon each year which are distributed weekly across 15 countries from Singapore in the East to San Francisco in the West to discerning customers seeking premium quality seafood from responsible and sustainable aquaculture.

The on-growing farms are located in Glenarm Bay and Red Bay off the Antrim coast, separated by 11 miles of fast flowing coastal seawater. Each farm is stocked with a different generation of organically reared smolts all sourced from the island of Ireland giving the company the ability to supply customers with fresh premium organic salmon all year round.
