
Smart and Hearty snacking from Kestrel Foods
Smart and Hearty, an innovative range of naturally sweet and ready to eat snack sized dried fruits without added sugar, is being launched by Kestrel Foods within its successful Forest Feast brand at IFE 2017 in London from 19-22 March.
The 10-strong Smart and Hearty snacking range, available in 75-100g packs at RRP £1.99, includes specially selected dried fruits such as mango, apricot, banana, pineapple, goji berries, cherries and dates.
The premium range has been created by Kestrel Foods in its longstanding focus on healthy snacking products from dried fruits, nuts and seeds in its popular Forest Feast portfolio. Kestrel will be showing its snacking range on stand N1546 at this year's IFE in London.
Smart and Hearty is among three new ranges being launched by Kestrel Foods, which is based at Craigavon in county Armagh, for the UK and other international markets.
The family-owned and managed business already exports its healthy snack options to almost 40 global markets including the US, Europe, China, the Middle East, Russia and Ukraine. The company has a portfolio of 150 unique and healthy snacks. It's one of Northern Ireland's most successful food exporters.
Other innovative ranges being launched at IFE make it easy for snackers to opt for healthier options reflect market trends away from fried products and for adding fruits, nuts and seeds to other meals.
Kestrel's Forest Feast Baked Not Fried range features a choice of two products -Slow Baked, Roasted and Salted Mixed Nuts (almonds, macadamia, pistachio, cashew and pecan nuts) and Slow Baked Sweet and Salty Fruit and Nuts (twice baked apples, vanilla, cacao glazed cashew nuts, roasted pecan nuts and roasted and salted almonds. Baked Not Fried, baked in small batches, is produced in handy 175g re-sealable packs at RRP £4.99
Forest Feast Toppers enables consumers to sprinkle healthy fruits and nuts on soups and desserts especially yoghurts. Two varieties are available in 175g packs at RRP £3.49. They are Rosemary and Walnut (raisins, pumpkin seeds with walnuts, toasted almonds and peanuts) and Pomegranate and Almond (toasted almonds and pumpkin seeds with pomegranate, cranberries, coconut, raisins and cacao nibs). The products are gluten-free, high in fibre and very low in salt.
