In the Northern Ireland presentation on Stand No 3B-420, organised by Invest NI, the region's business development agency will be:

Beverages from The Quiet Man Craft Distillery Company, an award-winning exporter of single malt and blended Irish Whiskey, and CocoMojo, a successful producer of coconut-based health drinks and a winner of innovation awards at events in Europe and the Middle East;

Culinary oils from Donegal Rapeseed Company Ltd, which has a portfolio of rapeseed oils that are being preferred increasingly by top chefs seeking healthier options for cooking; and

Snacks from Glens of Antrim Crisps, a leading Northern Irish potato grower and packer which has developed a range of potato crisps including several using sweet potatoes.

Karl Devlin, Invest NI's Head of Business Development, Middle East & Asia, commenting on the Northern Ireland presentation, says: "HOFEX has become an important show for our companies because it generates excellent contacts from across Asia and other parts of the world. Contacts made at the show have produced worthwhile business for some of our companies which have taken part in the past.

"Northern Ireland companies at the show are offering a wide range of premium food and drink products, many of which have won internationally recognised awards from influential bodies such as the UK Guild of Fine Food, the International Whisky Awards and the SIAL Innovation Awards.

"They are keen to develop business in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia. A number are already established in the region including Rooney Fish, a leading supplier of seafood especially crab meat and oysters to China," he adds.
