Northern Irish food packager in line for top UK award
Food specialist Greiner Packaging in Northern Ireland has been shortlisted in the Made in the UK awards for its investment in advanced manufacturing and technology.
Based at Dungannon in county Tyrone, Greiner specialises in the production of rigid packaging for the food industry in Great Britain and Ireland. The company, part of an international group, won the Northern Ireland heat.
The awards are a celebration of UK innovation, exports and engineering. The shortlist spans England, Wales and Northern Ireland and features companies from a variety of sectors, including aerospace, automotive and food and drink, to name just three.
As winners in their region, the finalists have all proven their originality, commitment to sustainability and a desire for growth. The ultimate winners in all categories, including UK Manufacturer of the Year 2017, will be revealed at the national final on 22 June in Liverpool.
