Willowbrook Foods wins slice of awards action from Domino's

Willowbrook Foods in Northern Ireland, a specialist in pre-packed vegetable and convenience meals for retailers and foodservice operators across the UK and Republic of Ireland, has won the "Best Product Quality" award from Domino's Pizzas.

The award recognises the excellent high quality produced by Willowbrook Foods for Domino's.

Willowbrook Foods is based around a family farm at Killinchy in county Down. It also sources products from other neighbouring farms.

John McCann, founder and managing director of Willowbrook Foods, commenting on the award, says: "This is great news for WIllowbrook as we have been supplying Domino's for over nine years to their 72 outlets across the island of Ireland.

"In addition to the existing lines we have recently launched a new Dominos' Caesar Salad Bowl which we are very excited about. We hope to continue our strong working relationship into the future," he adds.

Willowbrook was established in 1968 on land farmed by the McCann family for over 200 years. The farm and processing plant are on the shores of Strangford Lough, an area rich in fertile soil and micro climate, noted for its ability to produce vegetables to a very high standard.

The company also works with other farms and local growers to deliver what Mr McCann describes as "a taste of Northern Ireland" to the world.

To accommodate demand from a core market of retail and foodservice customers in 2011, Willowbrook invested £5.5 million in a purpose-built manufacturing factory that includes a cutting-edge Food Innovation Centre.
