Commenting on the 'Northern Ireland Naturally' presentation at the BBC Good Food Show, Maynard Mawhinney, Invest NI's Food Director, said: "We are delighted to be returning to the BBC Good Food Show for the second consecutive year to host eight local companies on the 'Northern Ireland Naturally' pavilion. Food and drink in Northern Ireland is now a £3.2 billion industry with almost 65 per cent of its products being sold outside Northern Ireland, with Great Britain now accounting for 40 per cent of total sales.
Last year, over 100,000 people attended the show over 4 days and our companies reported very brisk business. This show undoubtedly offers an invaluable platform for Northern Ireland companies many of whom supply the key multiples across GB, to engage with existing and potential consumers, build brand awareness and guage reaction to new product launches."
