Novel tea producer lines up new export deals
Boosted Tea, the Northern Irish producer of the recently launched novel tea and fruit juice blends, is on line to win its first export business within a few weeks of the introduction of the new beverages.
The company, based at Portadown in county Armagh, is already selling successfully in the Republic of Ireland, and is now lining up major distribution deals in Norway, Switzerland and Turkey.
Boosted Tea was established by entrepreneur Arin Cubuk in 2016 to market the innovative beverage that he had developed with help from WILD Flavours in Germany.
The three-strong range of soft drinks is being distributed by C&C in Dublin, one of the biggest wholesalers in the UK and Ireland.
Mr Cubuk, commenting on the export business, says: "We launched recently in the Republic of Ireland and especially in the strategically important Dublin area. Sales have been excellent and have encouraged me to push ahead with the development of contacts I have made in international markets from my former role in marketing hides and sheepskins for the family firm.
"I've sampled Boosted Tea with leading distributors in these and other international markets. Negotiations in Norway, Switzerland and Turkey are going very well and will be finalised in the near future," he adds. "Interest is also developing in other global markets. The long-term growth of the business depends on success in export markets," he adds.
Boosted Tea is a juice drink that's free from sugar and calories and is in line with growing market trends towards healthier products.
Mr Cubuk sources quality tea from Sri Lanka and uses it to infuse a range of natural fruit flavours such as cherry, strawberry, apple, peach, pear and passion fruit. The juices are being produced by Norbev, the Northern Irish independent bottler.
There are three juices in the existing Boosted Tea range - Cherry Red (Strawberry, Tea and Cherry); Mellow Yellow (Apple, Tea and Peach); and Pure Green (Passion Fruit, Tea and Pear).
