
Wild Power Wheatgrass listed by Ocado
Wild Power Wheatgrass in Northern Ireland has won business with top online retailer Ocado for its award winning range of healthy wheatgrass-based drinks.
Ocado has listed the four-strong Wild Power range - Pure (wheatgrass), Fuel (wheatgrass with beetroot and blackcurrant), Awaken (wheatgrass with apple and pear) and Refresh (wheatgrass with orange and lemon). - developed by Jacquelyn Stewart, the founder of Squeeze Wheatgrass, in 2016.
The business, based in Warrenpoint, county Down, has a successful track record in the production and sale of wheatgrass juice single shots, mostly sold through the company's website.
The company, which grows its own wheatgrass using innovative hydroponic technology, has also recently shipped its 1,000,000 wheatgrass juice shot. The Wild Power Wheatgrass range was created specifically for retail.
The energy boosting Wild Power wheatgrass shots are 100 per cent natural and cold-pressed to retain essential nutrients and enzymes. The company's products and processes are all SALSA approved.
Managing director Jacquelyn Stewart, commenting on the new Ocado business, says: "Being listed by Britain's leading online retailer is a major boost for us and our strategic focus on expanding business through conventional and online retailers.
"The business follows extensive discussions with and sampling sessions with buyers. Ocado is a good fit for us because of its developing commitment to healthy and nutritious food options and quality supplements with the provenance for health and diet conscious consumers.

The Ocado business follows earlier deals with Fortnum and Mason and Planet Organic in Britain. The first retailer in Britain to launch the new retail brand was Fortnum and Mason in London.
The Wild Power Wheatgrass retail brand was launched last year by Squeeze Wheatgrass, which has been selling wheatgrass shots through its e-commerce site since 2010.
