Taste the Greatness of Northern Ireland at BBC Good Food, Birmingham
Hundreds of award-winning and innovative products from Northern Ireland food and drink businesses, including many artisan enterprises, will be on show at BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham from 30 November to 3 December.
Taking part in what will be first Northern Ireland presence at this important event, held at the NEC, are nine companies. They will be sampling a wide range of products in a Taste the Greatness pavilion organised by Food NI, the region's food and drink marketing body.
Most of the companies in the Northern Ireland food pavilion at Birmingham also took part in BBC Good Food Show in Belfast earlier in November.
Taste the Greatness is a strategic action plan developed by Food NI that targets substantial growth in Great Britain for Northern Ireland food and drink.
The Food NI presence at BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham is supported by Invest Northern Ireland, the region's business development body.
Food NI also organised Northern Ireland's presence at the Speciality and Fine Food Show in London.
Most of the participating Northern Ireland companies have a track record of success in the UK Great Taste Awards and the Blas na hEireann, Irish National Food Awards.
A majority of the companies are already doing business in Britain, some with leading retailers and others delis and independents, ensuring access to their products.
All the participating companies from Northern Ireland are keen to expand sales in what is their target and biggest potential marketplace.
