Patisserie specialist targets foodservice for growth

Mange Tout, the Northern Irish specialist in handmade French patisserie and savoury pies, is targeting the Afternoon Tea market for faster growth.

The award-winning company, which is owned by experienced French chef Franck Brétéché and wife Tina, is based at Downpatrick in county Down. It has already won business from several leading hotels in Northern Ireland and is investing in marketing its products and expertise to wholesale operations in Ireland and further afield.

Mange Tout has achieved considerable success in Northern Ireland with independent retailers and at markets, including the iconic and hugely successful St George's Market in Belfast.

"We have an extensive and successful portfolio of authentic French patisseries and cakes as well as other treats, including chocolate brownies, that are idea for hotels and other caterers either already offering or planning to harness the business potential of the growing interest in premium afternoons," says Tina Brétéché.

"We are also keen to work with caterers and wholesalers in creating specific and delicious products for them," she adds.

He subsequently moved to Northern Ireland and found key roles in the restaurant/catering businesses of top local chefs Paul Rankin and Simon Dougan before setting his own bakery and café operation.
