Top agri-food business Fane Valley backs major show

The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) has announced that Fane Valley, Northern Ireland's biggest agri-food co-operative has as a new Platinum Sponsor for the 2018 Balmoral Show, the biggest farming and food show in Ireland and among the leading events of its type in the British Isles.

Speaking about the partnership, RUAS chief executive, Alan Crowe said: "We are thrilled to welcome Fane Valley on board as a new Platinum Sponsor for this year's Balmoral Show, as a leading agricultural supplier and agri-food processor they are clearly a great fit as a partner for Northern Ireland's leading agri-food Show."

Trevor Lockhart, Fane Valley Group chief executive added: 'We are very excited to announce our new platinum sponsorship with Balmoral Show, especially in its 150th anniversary year. Balmoral's mission to promote Northern Ireland agriculture and all things within a thriving agri-food sector runs parallel with the values of Fane Valley and our position as a leading agricultural supplier and innovative agri-food processor.

"Fane Valley was founded in 1903, the following year the RUAS was honoured with a Royal Title and became the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society. So, both organisations share a long history in Northern Ireland's largest industry.'

The transition of Balmoral Show to Balmoral Park has been a great success and as a farming co-operative we are proud to support the ongoing development efforts. The 2018 Balmoral Show runs from Wednesday, May 16 - Saturday, May 19.
