Baked Not Fried range of nuts from Forest Feast
Forest Feast, Northern Ireland's award-winning brand of healthy dried fruit, nuts and seeds, has launched a new Baked not Fried range of products.
The brand, developed by Kestrel Foods in Craigavon, county Armagh, features slow baked premium nut mixes for a healthier choice of snack that still feels like a treat.
The new range consists of five mixes including Slow Baked Sweet and Salty Fruit and Nuts blending twice baked apple, vanilla and cacao glazed cashew nuts with roasted pecan and roasted and salted almonds, Great Taste award winning, Slow Baked Roasted and Salted Mixed Nuts, and Seasoned Pistachios with a hint of salt and garlic - with all mixes seasoned and oven baked in small batches by the Northern Ireland company.
The company says the range has been developed by Forest Feast to offer mouth-watering combinations, which appeal to consumers seeking different and healthy taste experiences with a sense of indulgence.
Ann Woods, Forest Feast product development manager, says: "Snacking now represents a third of all food and drink occasions with 19.3 billion occasions a year, and snacking nuts have a year-on-year growth of more than six percent to £446 million in value.
"While 72 percent of consumers recognise that nuts are a good source of healthy fats, they are still viewed as a treat by nearly half, so we wanted to provide consumers with healthier versions of their favourite treats," she adds.
The Baked Not Fried stamp appears on the attractive packaging to communicate the health benefits to consumers.
Forest Feast is now a market leading brand of healthy products for snacking and also for adding to other dishes including breakfast cereals.
