Tayto's product portfolio includes Golden Wonder, Real Crisps, Mr Porky, Ringos and, of course, Tayto.
Karl Devlin, Invest NI's Head of Business Development, Middle East & Asia, commenting on the Northern Ireland presentation, says: "HOFEX has become an important show for our companies because it generates excellent contacts from across Asia and other parts of the world. Contacts made at the show have produced worthwhile business for some of our companies which have taken part in the past.
"When you source food and drink from Northern Ireland, you can be sure of its quality. At Hofex, we are providing visitors with a mere taste of the wide range of premium food and drink products available from Northern Ireland. In fact many of the products on display this year have won internationally recognised awards from influential bodies such as the UK Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards, the International Taste & Quality Institute Brussels and the European Craft Beer Cup Awards. This is also why Northern Ireland was named the World's Best Food Destination at the International Travel & Tourism Awards 2018.
"These companies are keen to develop business in Hong Kong and other parts of Asia. A number are already established in the region including Rooney Fish, a leading supplier of seafood especially crab meat and oysters to China," he adds.
