MILLAR SAVOURY ADDS TO MILL FARM RANGE OF CONVENIENCE PIES

Northern Ireland based convenience foods specialist, Millar Savoury Foods, has launched a new range of quality pies under its established Millfarm brand for independent retailers. The company, which recently secured a major distribution deal with Nicco Foods of Cheshire, has added chicken and ham, cottage and mince beef with onion to its Mill Farm range. The new products, made to a traditional Millar Savoury recipe are available in twin packs, offer extra freshness from being packed in a protective atmosphere at the company's modern processing plant in Eglinton, Northern Ireland. In addition to Mill Farm, the company markets chilled and frozen pies, burgers, sausage rolls and jumbo hot dogs under the Mulligan's Munchers brand, aimed specifically at the fast growing market for hot snacks for supermarkets and vending machines. ???Our market research has identified a demand from independent retailers for hot snacks which combine taste with the convenience that a microwave offers.
