Ministers meet new chair to the Food-Agri Strategy Board

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment is working with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to establish an Agri-Food Strategy Board (AFSB). Its role will be to develop and implement a strategic plan for the agri-food sector as set out in the draft Programme for Government. The work of the AFSB will be instrumental in helping to shape the future of the agri-food sector and work is currently under way to appoint the other members of the Board. The closing date for applications is noon on Tuesday 20th March 2012.
