Full Circle Management Solutions in conjunction with McNeice Export Consulting (based in Spain) and Invest NI will be delivering a presentation on Opportunities within the Spanish food and drinks sector.
The aim of this presentation is to provide NI companies with an insight into the workings and opportunities that exist within Spain's 21 billion euro food and drink import sector.
At present, opportunities exist within numerous areas such as dairy produce, baked goods, livestock and processed foods and organic and gluten free food product.
For example, since 2011, Spain has seen a:
71% growth in ready-to-serve dishes, frozen and canned food.
28.7% growth in international foods, with Spain being seen as the fastest growing market for future prospects in Europe.
The fact that Spanish households spend 46% more on food and drink than households in NI should also serve to highlight the size of the opportunity on offer.
