All Yours snacks in healthy breakthrough in Britain
All Yours, the rice snack developed by Northern Ireland's Mackle Snack Foods, has gained a significant foothold in the British marketplace.
The company, a longstanding manufacturer of snacks, which launched All Yours, a range of premium bite-sized, crispy rice clusters for healthier snacking, has signed a deal with Premier Partners, based near Oxford, to distribute the new snacks throughout Britain.
Premier Partners is pitching the snacks in 22g pouches initially to convenience stores and garage forecourts in the first stage of a marketing drive in Britain. The distributor aims to market the products to larger store formats later in the year.
Thenew rice crisp clusters include healthy berries such as cranberries and blueberries with oats, covered in delicious yoghurt coating. This nutritionally balanced and conveniently packaged product range has been selling successfully throughout North and South of Ireland.
Mackle Snacks, based at Dungannon in County Tyrone, had been seeking a leading distributor for growth in Britain. The company signed with Premier Partners following initial discussions at Food and Drink Expo in Birmingham earlier in the year.
"We were impressed by the sales and marketing proposals put forward by Premier Partners and are confident that they have the experience, commitment and contacts to help establish a firm base in Britain, a market that we've targeted for some time," says Mackle's Catherine McAlynn.
"Other snack products we've developed have proved popular in Britain, and we are confident that All Yours will be successful particularly with parents concerned about obesity who want tasty and healthier snacks for children," she adds.
Mackle Snacks has produced private label snacks for retailers including Budgens and Londis in Britain over many years.
The new range is the outcome of extensive market research and discussions with key customers by the Northern Irish company that led to a major R&D project.
Mackle has vast experience in producing snacks which are healthier and offer greater nutritional values. It developed a snack product which has 30 per cent less fat than most standard children's snacks, is gluten free and does not contain hydrogenated fats, transfats, preservatives or artificial ingredients.
Existing extruded products developed by the company for retailers in Great Britain and Republic of Ireland include bacon fries, fried onion rings, salt and vinegar sticks and cheese puffs, produced in 100g and 25g packs.
The company's focus on organic products has been endorsed by the Organic Soil Association. It has also achieved BRC accreditation.
