Natural Aloe Soft Drink Bursts on to UK and Irish markets

Aloe Burst, a totally unique, innovative and natural soft drink, is being launched on the UK and Irish markets by a Northern Irish company.

This natural and refreshing soft drink, is a unique blend of pureed aloe and pure artesian spring water. The drink has been created and developed by the Natural Import Company (NIC), a business based in Portrush, County Antrim, that was formed last year by sales professional Chris Martin.

Aloe Burst is being produced for NIC by Antrim Hills Spring Water Company, also based in County Antrim and a longstanding specialist in artesian spring water products, in 500ml PET bottles.

The company has already lined up distribution deals in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland and is now in discussions with a number of potential representatives in Britain. It has also secured business from Fitzers, the leading Dublin-based caterers, beginning in the new Titanic Belfast building.

Mr Martin says: "Aloe Burst is unique in that we puree our aloe in Northern Ireland and the pure artesian spring water used has been filtered through the basalt hills of Antrim for hundreds of years giving Aloe Burst its unrivalled natural purity, from an established and traceable source. Customers can count on the provenance of what is essentially a home-grown, natural soft drink.

"What we've done is to re-invent from scratch an aloe drink that's popular in Asia and parts of Europe including the Netherlands, where I first tasted the product. We decided to puree our aloe because existing aloe drinks contain small cubes of aloe vera, a feature which our market research and experience indicates isn't popular with consumers in Britain and Ireland.

"We import the aloe vera directly from an established and organically certified supplier of other natural ingredients. The whole process is under our complete control.

"We are currently working with a well-known mixologist and bar industry expert to create the 'perfect serve' for Aloe Burst and create a range of completely unique cocktails. We are certain Aloe Burst is the best tasting and most versatile mixer to hit the bar scene in decades."

NIC has created an eye catching brand and style for the bottle as well as its website and point of sale materials. The company also has a sponsored team of professional surfers and wake boarders, including big wave surfer Al Mennie and Irish wake board team captain Pete Stewart.
