READY EGG AIMS TO CRACK GB FOODSERVICE MARKET
Northern Ireland based Ready Egg Products (Ready Egg) will be launching its range of high quality pasteurised egg products for the food service and food manufacturing industries at IFE. The company will be exhibiting from the Northern Ireland Pavilion ??"N3205 / N3219 / N3230 ??" organised by the Food Division of Invest Northern Ireland, the region's business development body.
Ready Egg Products is a new joint venture between three long-established and successful egg producers ??" Erne Eggs in Lisnaskea, County Fermanagh and two businesses from the Republic of Ireland, Irish Eggs and Greenfield Foods. The new company, which is also based at Lisnaskea on Ireland's Lakeland, specializes in the manufacture of high quality pasteurized egg products packaged either in bulk pallecons or bag in box (e.s.l.). The company, which started operations in a modern processing plant last year, sources shell eggs from its own dedicated flock that produces more than two million eggs per week. The plant has a manufacturing capacity of 200 tonnes per week and currently produces peeled, hard-boiled and liquid eggs. The state-of-the-art processing plant uses high-tech pasteurisation with the facility to customise mixes and is introducing new tempering technology.
