Family Fun on the Farm event to help kids fighting cancer
This Summer Corries Farm in Newtownards is the place to be for fantastic family day out- while also helping a local children's cancer charity.
Fun on the Farm will take place on August 23 and will feature a BBQ, a chance to meet the animals, a bouncy castle and a host of other family activities to enjoy.
There will also be cookery demonstrations and craft stalls to keep the adults happy too. Proceeds from the event will be going towards the Cancer Fund for Children which offers practical, emotional and financial support to local families.
Belfast brother and sister Alara (5) and Arda (4) were on hand recently to help launch the event. Little Alara benefitted from the services of Cancer Fund for Children after being diagnosed with leukaemia in 2012.
Her mum, Susan is urging people to come along to the family event and help raise funds for other families that need the support of Cancer Fund for Children.
"I don't know how we would have coped without the charity's support. By coming along to this event, not only will your family have a great day out but you will also be helping this amazing charity to provide support for other families like mine," she said.
Event organiser William Corrie said: "We're delighted to be supporting this wonderful local charity this year and are looking forward to welcoming local families to enjoy some Fun on the Farm. Hopefully we will be able to raise thousands to support families like Alara's."
You can support Cancer Fund for Children by attending Fun on the Farm from 12pm - 5pm on Saturday 23rdAugust. Entry is £5 for adults and kids go free. Alternatively if you'd like to hold a stall at the event, or sponsor the event please contact William Corrie on 028 9181 2297.
