Linden Foods teams up with Ulster Rugby
Linden Foods, the primal meat processor and retail manufacturer from Dungannon Co. Tyrone, Northern Ireland, will be an official supplier of meat and poultry to the Ulster Rugby squad for the 2014/15 season.
Linden Foods is a market leader in the meat processing and agri-food industry and has recently been voted 'Meat & Poultry Processor of The Year 2014'.
Employing over 900 people, the company, based at Granville Industrial Estate in Dungannon, has forged strong relationships with their local farmers over the years through direct supply chains.
Linden Foods' production strategy is focused on quality, efficiency and innovation, combined with a vision of sustainability that covers raw materials and the importance of reducing its environmental footprint whilst benefiting the communities within whom it interacts.
Speaking at the launch of the supplier deal, Ulster Rugby head of strength and conditioning, Jonathan Davis, said: "As we look to explore new initiatives it is important we do so with the best partners. Linden Foods is a valued supplier to the team and joins the already successful supplier companies working with the professional team to achieve the highest levels of performance."
William Waugh, procurement director at Linden Foods, added: "On a professional level it is great for Linden Foods to be associated in a supplier capacity with Ulster Rugby.
"We are delighted our products have been chosen to power the performance of the team. On a personal level it's brilliant, I am a huge Ulster supporter and feel very proud and privileged to launch our new supplier deal. Coming here every Friday night will feel that little bit more satisfying."
