Pizzado, which is based at Portavogie in county Down, has begun supplying its part-stonebaked and hand stretched pizza bases to all 141 Aldi stores in the Republic.

“The pizza bases proved very popular because of their quality and convenience with customers and subsequently led to resulted in this immensely important contract from Aldi.
“The bases make it easier than ever to make a delicious pizza at home. It’s an immensely encouraging endorsement for us and I look forward to working with the retailer’s Grow with Aldi team to grow push in the months ahead, It’s a tremendous start to 2020.
The development of packs of 10-inch part stonebaked pizza bases are being produced in a new processing plant in the Co Down fishing village of Portavogie. They are being produced in a processing unit near the village’s harbour.
The pizza bases are also proving popular with hotels, restaurants and cafes in the north of England and Scotland. This growing success follows the recent appointment by Mrs Boyd of a food marketing agency in Newcastle upon Tyne.
