Northern Ireland in line for Food Manufacture Excellence Awards

Four Northern Ireland companies are in line for prestigious Food Manufacture Excellence Award, the most important in the UK food industry.

The companies have been shortlisted in five categories in the annual awards set to be announced in February at a virtual gala event.

The Food Manufacture awards in 2021 are intended to celebrate the industry’s achievements in the face of all the setbacks and challenges and entries that demonstrate a sense of overcoming adversity, will shine as much as entries that focus only on booming business.

The local companies in the running for category awards are leading meat processor Dunbia; poultry industry leader Moy Park; Mash Direct, a specialist in vegetable products and convenience meals; and Finnebrogue Artisan, a processor of meats and developer of plant-based foods.

The awards are organised by the Food Manufacture Group which produces a magazine and social channels with news, insight and analysis into the fast-moving world of food and drink manufacturing.

  • Moy Park, Craigavon, Co Armagh – poultry processing

Food Manufacture Training Award

Food Manufacture Apprentice of the Year

  • Henry Greer, Finnebrogue Artisan, Downpatrick, Co Down – meat and plant processor
