Two Stacks launches two limited edition whiskeys
Ireland Craft Beverages (ICB) has continued the contemporary revival in the age-old tradition of Independent bonding, blending and bottling by releasing The Blenders Cut – Sauternes Cask Strength (ABV 63.5%) and The Blenders Cut – Barbados Rum Cask Strength (ABV 63.%) Irish whiskeys.
These will be the final two bottlings in their limited-edition Blenders Cut with just 222 bottles of each produced.
Bonded and bottled from Killowen Distillery, near Rostrevor, in the scenic Mourne mountains, county Down, Two Stacks is continuing to produce limited-edition premium whiskey for enthusiasts.
ICB director Donal McLynn says: “We are delighted to announce the release of the two remaining expressions in our Straight from The Cask series. The 3rd edition, a beautiful and delicate Sauternes cask finish accompanied be the 4th and final whiskey cask to be disgorged, A French oak barrel once playing host to a 5-year-old rum in Barbados.”
The Blenders Cut team spent 90 days soaking up all the flavours the Caribbean had to offer. Both expressions have an abundance of flavour, and yet completely different to one another. The addition of water to the Whiskey will bring some of those peat notes back to life too.
“When we started Two Stacks, our ambition was to build a whiskey brand recognised for the quality liquid, transparency in each release, and contemporary eye-catching branding,” he continues.
“The release of the Blenders Cut speciality cask finish is a reflection of those ambitions. As important as the quality of whiskey and branding, are the casks we selected for finishing. The history of the casks, where they were made, where they were used and for how long they were used.’
Inspired by Irish distilleries and merchants of old and contemporary global brands of new, Two Stacks Irish Whiskey has the ambition to develop a premium brand recognized for quality rather than quantity, attention to detail, and Integrity.
