That Protein unique porridge listed in Nourish Awards 2021

That Protein, the Northern Ireland pioneer in super protein powders and porridge, has been shortlisted in two categories for its organic protein porridge in the annual Nourish Awards

The UK’s leading health food award, Nourish Awards are judged by an expert panel of nutritionists, health and food industry experts. The final award winners will be announced in September.

Based in Belfast, That Protein, a specialist in plant-based foods, has been shortlisted for its Blissful Double Choc Protein Porridge, launched last year, in Breakfast Foods and Drinks and Gut Friendly and Fermented Foods categories.

The porridge, which is gluten-free, has been certified as low Fodmap meaning that it is suitable for sufferers from digestive conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Clinical Nutritionist Darlene McCormick, who founded That Protein, says: “We are celebrating because the Nourish Awards are regarded as the toughest in the UK health food industry. Shortlisting in two major categories is a marvellous endorsement of the outstanding quality of our recently launched Blissful Double Choc Protein Porridge which has been selling very well worldwide since its launch.”

The organic porridge is totally plant-based, high in plant protein, fibre and energising B vitamin. The main ingredients are organic oats, plant protein, raw cacao, cacao nibs and Palmyra nectar, which is dried sap from the Asian Palmyra Tree.

That Protein, which was established in 2014 by Ms McCormick, has won a series of Nourish Awards for its innovative super proteins powders. The company’s Blissful Raw Cacao Organic Super Protein was the first protein powder in the UK to be certified low Fodmap. It also won a Nourish Award in a previous judging.

That Protein products, launched around five years ago, are on sale all over the world including Spain, Scandinavia and the Middle East and in places like Holland and Barrett in the UK.
