
Top UK food manufacturing award for Dunbia
Northern Ireland headquartered Dunbia has been named Meat, Poultry and Seafood Manufacturer of the Year in the prestigious Food Manufacture Excellence Awards.
The company, which is based in Dungannon, county Tyrone and operates throughout the UK, won the award at a gala event in London.
The awards recognised and honoured the dedicated businesses and individuals for their achievement, innovation and success. Every entry went through a rigorous judging process involving hours of discussion and debate.
Dunbia, now owned by Dawn Foods of Naas, county Kildare in the Republic of Ireland, is Northern Ireland’s biggest processor of beef and lamb and a major supplier of products to supermarkets throughout the UK and Ireland.
The awards are regarded as the undisputed, original and best accolades annually recognising corporate and individual excellence in food processing at all levels. Widely regarded in the industry as the gold standard and the one to win, the awards have continuously evolved to represent the sector’s needs.
In addition to UK and Ireland, Dunbia exports to global markets. The company was originally formed by brothers Jim and Jack Dobson.
